Horton Internet Productions can update your existing site, give it a complete makeover
or rebuild it from the ground up.
This is called domain name registration. We can suggest several good places
to register your name. They will help you do a lookup to see if your intended
name is already taken and allow you to purchase your domain if it is available.
If you use our hosting your domain name is free for as long as you
continue hosting with us.
Hosting is basically the storage space on a server that holds your website.
Different hosting companies usually offer several hosting packages based on the
amount of storage that you require and the amount of traffic that visits your
site. The number of E-mail addresses can also vary. We can take care of your
hosting through our partners or you are welcome
to use any hosting company that you choose.
Keeping a site fresh is important in getting visitors to return. You should
update your content regularly. We can provide ongoing website management.
No, we are probably not as knowledgeable as you on whatever your site is
about. You provide the content and information and we create your website out of
what you provide. Our job is to take the info that you provide and turn it into
an attractive functional website. However, we can and often do make suggestions
about your content to improve your overall website design.
We strive to have customer updates completed within one business day. (It is
usually even quicker than that, depending on the extent of the update.) However,
we will not update your site without being told to do so - Example: you have an
advertisement on your site for a free rose with all widgets sold on Valentines
day. We do not automatically remove this after Valentine's day unless you gave
us instructions to do so. We can't monitor every site for outdated information,
but we will follow your advanced instructions.
We have state-of-the-art equipment and are capable of taking excellent
quality photos. We can also scan existing photos or use your photos from CD or
Kodak photo disc or you can even E-Mail them to us. We can improve and optimize
your photos with our software applications.
Only if you have specific ones that you would like to use. We have a vast
library to draw upon and it is included in your website design.
